Book Week

What a wonderful week we have had, sharing poems, books and stories.

We loved our Grade 7 friends coming to read to us. They read with such expression, and chose great books!

We were lucky enough to have a chat with Sarah Mounsey, author of Purple Paw Prints. She shared lots of her writing secrets with us, and showed us the many, many drafts she has written of her books. We loved that so many of the things that she does are EXACTLY what we do in our Writing Workshop, too!

Today, our classroom was taken over by book characters! In our Morning Meeting, we had a little parade where we told the class about our character, what book we were from, and a little about the story. Have a look at the slideshow for photos of us all sharing in our Morning Meeting.
